"The Corpse of Anna Fritz" is a psychological thriller directed by Hèctor Montalbán and written by Montalbán and Roger Sanchis. The film tells the story of two friends, Iria (played by Bárbara Lennie) and Paula (played by Claudia Placer), who are obsessed with the famous Spanish actress, Anna Fritz (played by Iria Escolar). After Anna's death, Iria and Paula sneak into the morgue to get a glimpse of her corpse. However, things take a dark turn when Iria decides to take Anna's body home, sparking a series of eerie and unsettling events.

The story follows Pau, a shy orderly working at the hospital, and his friend Iván. Driven by morbid curiosity and the opportunity of a lifetime, they decide to view the corpse of the celebrity. Along with Javi, a friend of Iván’s, they sneak into the morgue. What begins as a macabre viewing quickly descends into a horrifying scenario when the men realize that Anna Fritz might not be as dead as they believed.
