As I made my way through the exhibits, I came across a group of 8 dogs playing together in a large enclosure. They were all different breeds and sizes, but they seemed to be getting along famously. I watched for a while, mesmerized by their energetic playtime.
If you see a dog locked in a hot car, you are acting as a (relieving immediate suffering). But when you decide to adopt a rescue instead of buying from a breeder, you are acting on a rights principle (rejecting the commodification of life).
