Yukiko grew up in a multicultural family, which exposed her to various musical genres and cultural traditions from an early age. She began her music career in her teenage years, performing at local gigs and festivals in the UK. After completing her studies, Yukiko decided to pursue music full-time, relocating to London to focus on her craft.

One student, a young woman named Sophia, was particularly inspired by Yvette and Yukiko's collaboration. Sophia had always been interested in cooking, but had never had the confidence to try her hand at Japanese cuisine.
