The film follows two homicide detectives, (Javier Gutiérrez) and Pedro (Raúl Arévalo), who are sent from Madrid to a remote, impoverished town in the Andalusian wetlands (the Guadalquivir marshes) to investigate the disappearance of two teenage sisters.
