Mamere (played by Germaine de Foe) is a Sudanese refugee who fled to Canada with her children after her husband's tragic death. Twenty years later, she decides to return to Nairobi, hoping to rebuild her life and reconnect with her roots. However, upon her arrival, she finds that her family, including her mother and siblings, are missing.
The film follows a group of siblings—Mamere, Jeremiah, Paul, and Abital—who are orphaned during the brutal Second Sudanese Civil War.
