The film's story begins with Dave (Kevin James), a loving husband and father of two, who feels unfulfilled and restless. One day, while on a family outing, Dave stumbles upon a spaceship that has been sent to Earth to study human behavior. However, upon landing, the spaceship's occupant, a being from the planet Lull, is shrunk down to a tiny size and accidentally ingested by Dave.
