If you are writing a story (fanfic or original), the "Summer Heat" arc shouldn't end with a resolution to the temperature. It should end with the characters accepting the discomfort. Gwen doesn't find air conditioning. Gwen learns to sit in the shade and breathe. That is the moral of the WIP: completion is a myth; progress is the prize.
