Abstract This paper surveys 100 community-created addon maps for Left 4 Dead 2 (L4D2), focusing on design variety, playability, difficulty balance, technical quality, and replay value. Maps were selected to represent a range of themes (urban, rural, horror, carnival, industrial), gameplay styles (campaign, survival, versus, scavenge), and author approaches (story-driven, arcade, set-piece).
